HP Inkjet and Laser Printers

The History of HP

Remember back in the day when HP was more of a computer company?  Back in 1939 Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard created HP from a garage in Palo Alto, California.  Initially, they sold audio oscillators.  While they spent the early years developing voltmeters and counters, they evolved to become the founding company in Silicon Valley.  By the 60’s they had shifted into semiconductors, finally getting into computers around 1966.

It would be another 20ish years before HP started developing their first HP inject and laser printers.  The first iterations were designed to complement their desktop computers but in the 1990s their business model exploded with HP computers being sold globally to individual consumers.

HP Wolf Security

With roots dating back to the ‘30’s, HP has seen the evolution and corruption of the industry.  Security was important, but now computer and data security are beyond essential.  The Security Lab at HP Labs unifies all their endpoint security into a singular powerhouse. The HP focus around improving and maintaining cutting-edge technology, to combat evolving threats of today.

Enter HP Wolf Security.  It’s the endpoint security solution your business has been looking for.  20 years of thorough research, innovation, adaption, and strategic acquisition has brought the model for the safest printing available.

Now that businesses are adopting more and more hybrid employment models, your security is crucial to keep business and customer data secure.

“HP Wolf Security provides hardware-enforced security, which means you’re not only supported by external monitoring and remedies. Robust security features are also built into each device. This is the best way to protect you and your information from intrusions because local hardware is more challenging for hackers to access. This also improves your system’s resilience against conventional attacks during the life of your printer, laptop, or desktop.”

The HP focus on security is why HP printers are often recommended for your healthcare and healthcare support companies.  They offer the security required to keep you HIPAA compliant.

You may have an HP printer in your home office.  For low-volume high quality prints, these devices are great.  Unmanaged, they can be networked to auto-replenish ink as part of their subscription model.  If you do high volume printing, then you should probably consider their managed devices.
