We invite you and your team to join us on November 1st, at 10am MST for ABT’s Managed IT Services Cyber Insurance webinar with Natalie Suarez, Principal Solutions Advisor for ConnectWise.

Who is Natalie Suarez?

As facilitator of the ConnectWise Evolve Cybersecurity Peer Group and Cybersecurity Product Advisory Council, Natalie brings more than 25 years of experience to the table in both public and private sectors, as well as Technology Service Providers (TSPs), Fortune 100 companies and information sharing communities.  Her focus around cybersecurity, software, and systems engineering stem from years of leadership positions supporting analysts within the intelligence community and the cybersecurity industry for most of her career, followed by time at Perch Security before her role at ConnectWise.

What is Cyber Insurance and why should your company have it?

Most businesses have some sort of insurance.  You have insurance to cover your property in case of damage, break-ins, you may even have coverage for theft.  Is your data covered?

As many as 76% of SMBs in 2022 have been impacted by at least one cybersecurity attack, up from 55% in 2021. Are you covered for ransomware attacks? These days, nearly every business uses technology to manage their business.  Everything from Access Control to Data and Document Management has a technology aspect to it and that means you may face a range of risks from data breaches to hacking.

Many businesses have already taken the proactive step of adding cyber liability insurance to their business insurance policies, but is that enough?

What is (PII) Personally Identifiable Information?

According to DHS (Department Homeland Security) PII is defined as any personally identifiable information that permits the identity of an individual to be directly or indirectly inferred, including any information that is linked or linkable to that individual.

As a business owner, you are required to protect your customer PII. This means that while you’re probably focused on your own data, your own IP, financials, and more, you must also focus on the making sure that no breach allows for their information to leak.

In the event of a breach, you are responsible and can be sued by your customers, this potential loss increases if that information is health related information.  Add to that cost, the public relations campaigns you may have to do to repair your relationship with your customers (think Target in 2013).

But, it’s not just about the breach…What about the downtime?

The average downtime caused by a breach like ransomware is 21 days.  Imagine you can’t do business operations; you can’t generate revenue or even manage customers for 21 days.  Imagine trying to cover the losses….enter cyber insurance.

In our webinar with Natalie, we hope to cover all the details.  What types of businesses are most at risk, and who needs cyber insurance the most.  What kinds of coverages can you expect when you obtain cyber insurance.  Are you currently using the best provider or are there better options, and so much more?

Hopefully you aren’t like the 29% of businesses that are looking into cyber insurance post an attack, staying in front of the issue is always better.

Get registered today, and don’t forget, at the end of our webinar we’ll be giving away a pair of Beats Fit Pro ear pods (must be present to win)!
